In the early 21st century era, Large oil reserves are found in the waters of the South Pacific. The largest are found in an area north of the Kiribati Islands and east of Micronesia. Oil has become a very valuable resource, turning the previously deserted nearby islands into boom towns. Runway City being the First and biggest among them. Runway City started as an Industrial complex for the Japanese Sakaguchi Industries Natural Resource Division. It later became a city of workers, business men, and their families. It is now the 44th largest city in the world. |

Major corporations such as YSP and Yamakawa have corporate Headquarters in the city. The Wic Works plant also is located nearby on Mithril Island. Also, the 241st squad has a base in the Fort George International Airport. |

| The Ashite island region is an Archipelago, located in Southeast Asia near the Philippines. It is home to many American military facilities, Including The Island Fortress. The Island Fortress is an island protected by a huge wall made of stone and reinforced concrete. The wall wraps around the entire island leaving one opening for road traffic. The island contains a military base, an airstrip and a metropolitan city. Other military instalations located around the Ashite island region are linked to each other by a sophisticated mass highway system. |

In the end, the natives of Mars want the humans out. War has broken out on the Red Planet. The Humans fight with a multi-purpose assault vehicle know as the Titan III. They are assisted by a group of renegades that operate a stolen F-16 converted into a star fighter known as the Star-16. |

| This small metropolitan area is located in the oil rich Eastern Pacific near Japan. This city was built on man made islands made from small mountains that used to protrude from the ocean. During the current war, communist forces have occupied the island. Allied American and Japanese forces have regained control of the south island and are prepared for the fight to restore the entire island. |
